Payton G. 2009 Presidential Inauguration Trip Scholarship, October 7, 2008 -
I would like to thank all of you who donated and bought jewelry in order to send my daughter to the 2009 Presidential Inauguration in Washington D.C. She entered a writing contest in which she had to express the importance of democracy in the United States and that essay won her an opportunity to attend the 2009 Presidential Inauguration in Washington D.C.! Only 15 students are chosen from her entire school to participate. Thanks to all of your support she will be at the inauguration and the experience will be one she can treasure for the rest of her life. This is one of the most important elections in our country's history and being able to witness history being made first hand is an amazing opportunity.
